Privacy Policy — VeeiQ Money

1. Who we are

VeeiQ is the developer of VeeiQ Money, an offline-first personal finance and expense tracking application for Android. VeeiQ Money is designed to help individuals record and review their personal expenses and income with speed, simplicity, and local data storage.

2. Information we collect & Local storage

VeeiQ does not collect, transmit, or store any personal or financial information on VeeiQ servers. All application data — including transaction amounts, expense/income records, custom category names, timestamps, notes, and generated summaries — is created and saved solely on your device within Android's sandboxed private storage.

All calculations, category aggregation, and plain-language summaries are processed locally in device memory using on-device logic. No remote servers inspect your spending patterns.

3. Zero bank access & Zero SMS reading

VeeiQ Money is designed without external data connections:

• No Bank Logins: VeeiQ Money never asks for your bank credentials, online banking passwords, or account numbers. It does not integrate with financial aggregators.
• No SMS Inbox Access: VeeiQ Money does not request or declare the Android READ_SMS or RECEIVE_SMS permissions. It does not read your text messages or bank debit notifications.
• No Account Creation: You do not need to register an email address, verify a phone number, or create an account to use the app.

4. Internet and network use

VeeiQ Money does not declare the Android android.permission.INTERNET permission and does not connect to the internet. All application features — including transaction logging, categorization, searching, summary calculation, and local backups — operate entirely offline on your device. The app does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics libraries, or external billing SDKs.

5. Data sharing & User-initiated export

VeeiQ Money does not share, transmit, or monetize your transaction logs or records. The only data movement that occurs is strictly initiated and authorized by you:

• CSV File Export: You can export your transaction history to a standard .csv spreadsheet at any time. The file is written directly to the directory or document folder you specify via Android's file picker.
• Local Backup (.veeiq): You can create a local database backup file to preserve or migrate your records. The destination folder is chosen entirely by you, and VeeiQ never receives a copy.

6. Permissions we request

VeeiQ Money is engineered according to the principle of least privilege:

• No Internet Permission: The app does not declare android.permission.INTERNET.
• File Access via System Picker: When you export a CSV file or save/restore a .veeiq backup, file operations are handled through Android's system document picker (Storage Access Framework). The app accesses only the specific files or folders you explicitly choose.

VeeiQ Money does not request or require access to your Camera, Microphone, Contacts, Location, SMS, Notifications, or Phone State.

7. Children's privacy

VeeiQ Money is not directed toward children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from anyone, including children.

8. Data retention and deletion

Because your transaction records exist exclusively on your device, you retain control over your data. You can delete individual transactions within the app. Uninstalling VeeiQ Money removes all data stored in the app's private sandbox. Exported CSV spreadsheets and .veeiq backup files saved to your device can be managed or deleted directly using your device's file manager.

9. Security

VeeiQ Money does not operate a server that stores users' financial records. Users should protect their devices and keep exported or backup files secure. Data stored on your device is protected by Android's application sandbox and standard device security measures.
